Setpoint

Terms of service

_Last updated 19 September 2026. Draft prepared for legal review before public launch._

The service

Setpoint is a planning tool. It projects a household's cash flow, balances and related readings from the accounts, flows, rules and assumptions the household enters. It is provided by Curtis Company (the "operator").

A model, not a promise

Every figure Setpoint shows is computed from what you entered and the assumptions you chose. It is a model of your own inputs, not a forecast of what will happen, and not a statement about any real account.

No financial, tax or legal advice

Setpoint does not recommend a savings rate, an investment, a retirement date, a payoff order, a tax election or any other course of action. Where the application offers a default or a suggested rule, it is a starting point you can change, not advice tailored to you. For decisions that matter, consult a licensed professional.

Your account and your data

  • Keep your sign-in method to yourself and sign out of devices you no longer use.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for who you invite into your household.
  • Your household's data remains yours. You can export it or delete it at any time from Settings.
  • How data is handled is described in the [privacy policy](/privacy).

Acceptable use

Do not use Setpoint to store other people's data without their permission, to probe or overload the service, or to try to reach households other than your own.

Availability and changes

Setpoint is under active development. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. The operator will try to give notice of changes that affect stored data.

Warranty and liability

Setpoint is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the operator makes no warranty about accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for decisions made in reliance on a projection.

Ending use

You can stop using Setpoint at any time by deleting your household. The operator may suspend access that violates these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction, to be confirmed in legal review.
